Gratitude

Words cannot express my gratitude, so I will refrain from forcing them.

Except to say, “I thank you, Lord.”

Gratefulness explodes out of my heart and finds its expression in this song

And so I sing, “I thank you, Lord”

“It is finished!” - is all you had to say.

My voice is silent - except for words of praise.

“He is risen!” - and lives in me today.

Will you truly finish what you’ve begun, it seems a task beyond me now

Except I see that it is good

I sense that I am somehow losing me, but gaining you is my reward

And so I say that is good

First I’m broken and then I am made whole

First I’m poured out and then I overflow

First I’m dried up then tears begin to flow

First I died with You Then I began to grow
