Angel Treads –
(Music from Keaggy, King, Dente - Words by E. Hyland Maze)
If you have three minutes can I talk to you
I hope my words having meaning, that I get to you
We start with a clean slate, although we are born in sin
Little by little we lose our way
We try real hard to earn our way to paradise
But life has a way of slowing us down and blinding our eyes
He was born to give His life – give His life for you and me
I saw the writing on the wall could it be I’d missed it all
How far had man come since the fall – Jesus came to fix it all
To be the Lamb of sacrifice to heal our hearts and open our eyes
Bridge
If you could only see – His love upon that tree
For You – for me
For the joy set before Him, He endured the Cross of Shame
Now, He has the Name by which all men can be saved
There was a time when I didn’t believe all this stuff
I thought someone was trying to paint a fictional character
But I came to know Jesus by His touch on my life, not my touch on His
Greater love has no man than one who lays down his life for his brother
blind before but now I see just what He faced on
Showed His great love for you and me
Does this not tell you how I feel
Does this not prove His love is real
Does this not show how you are loved
Does this not prove that God is love
Crucified for our sins Crucified for our sins
(crucified) (crucified)
Oh, the blood of Jesus that washes white as snow
Oh, the love of Jesus that I wish you would know
Crucified for our sins Crucified for our sins
(crucified) (crucified)
