You are like the Christmas Ornaments

I see beautiful Christmas bulbs in your eyes

Some of you have eyes that are bright and blue and beautiful –

You make me feel alive, joyful and daring

Some of you have eyes that are dark and brown and deep –

You make me feel passionate and strong

Some of you have those eyes that are green or hazel,

hinting at promises yet unknown –

You make me feel mysterious, cunning and hopeful

I see garland and tinsel in your hair

Some of you have hair that is like the golden or silver shimmer

that drapes my tree –

Your friendship covers me with richness

Some of you have hair that is like the garland that wraps

gently around my branches –

You embrace me in all my weaknesses

Some of you have hair that is like the branches themselves

that bring fullness to the tree –

You make me feel complete, appreciated, a part of you

I am the lights of Christmas –

just turn me on and I will make you shine!

All that you are is all that I am,

so thanks for making me beautiful!
