To My Best Girl On Valentine’s Day

 

I wouldn’t gamble with you

But, I like to play your game

I like to ramble with you

I like where you aim

 

I try to hide from you

When I really need to hide

Then I tell you where I am

Just to be back at your side

 

The one thing I can’t hide

Is how I feel inside - About you

 

You’re the very best

I’ve said all that before

When I fear you must be exhausted

You seem to come up with more

 

I’ve told the Lord a million times

I don’t deserve my Valentine

And a million times He’s told me

It’s true, so treat her kind

 

So, on this day when lovers meet

And commit their love again

I celebrate, with deepest love

My Darcie, my best friend.
